Organic weed killer for veggie gardens no dig

I have been wanting to make a veggie garden for ages now, but i have been putting it off for months now because of all the weeds and horrible tuff grass, i had asked a few people how i can kill the weeds or just get rid of them, i did try the shovel and dig a small amount of grass/weeds out, but it was very hard work and the weeds just came back in a week.
There is a way i can do this its called the no dig garden, its very easy to do as well, what you need is some old newspaper or old cardboard boxes lots of them, also some garden spikes (tent pegs are good) i ended up making my own from old reo steel from the tip/junkyard,

then i just cut them with a angle grinder,

Once you have all this stuff you can begin work with your new veggie garden woot!
I first lawn mow the area i want mark it out with a tape measure and spike the points you need make sure when mowing the area cut the lawn as short as possible.
Next step is to lay each piece of newspaper making sure you have about 10 pages thick then using a hammer spike them down,

other wise the wind blows it all over the garden and that’s annoying, after you have done all the area, yo need to wait for about 2 weeks, over this time all the grass and weeds will die leaving the grass seeds under the newspaper not able able to grow.
Next step is to place mulch or straw over the top of the newspaper then your ready to plant your seedlings, you will need to spike the old news paper a few times to let water in for your new veggies.
